and, while people are working hard to provide for themselves and their families, millions of people in America are just a job loss, missed paycheck, or medical emergency away from hunger.
This is Chris and his family who lost their income due to the pandemic. I got paired with Chris on Pandemic of Love - a site that was created during Covid to help struggling individuals - for help with food expenses and other living necessities.
Hunger can affect people from all walks of life.
Around 49 million Americans depend on food aid from charitable organizations, with certain groups such as children, seniors, and individuals of color experiencing higher levels of food insecurity.
